DREAMING OF WORKING ABROAD?

HealthConnections is a placement agency, not a temporary staffing (traveler) agency.  We place healthcare professionals in permanent/long term jobs in other countries.  Working in another country requires you to be employed full time directly by an employer to obtain work authorization. You will not be working for HealthConnections.  See our international jobs for Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologits and starting soon for RNs for the UK.

How We Assist You

  • You will have your own global job coach
  • Provide guidance on revising  your resume for a foreign manager and documents needed
  • Verify your credentials and references
  • “Translate” foreign professional registration/license application ensuring success
  • Find the best job for you in your preferred location or better
  • Set up, coordinate and prepare you for a Skype interview
  • Assist with new paperwork for employer
  • Provide guidance in applying  for work visa after securing the job
  • Ensure housing arrangements are  made before you leave your home country
  • Check in with you when you arrive in the new country and continue to support you at regular intervals
  • Connect you with professionals in your discipline already working in your new country
  • Always available to assist you after you arrive

The process can take 4-6 months to get there.  Then about 3-4 months to settle into your new country, figure out where you are, what you are doing and how the local health care system works before you are completely comfortable with the change.  It is our belief the best way to experience a culture is to live there full time and fully integrate with the local population.

Your safety, location and working environment are extremely important to us at HealthConnections.  We make every effort to ensure a rewarding experience for professionals going abroad to work, especially if it is for the first time.

The type of job you would be considered for is based on when you can be there, your clinical expertise, years of experience and your geographic preference.  We make every attempt to find a job for you that meets your needs as well as those of the healthcare facility.
